Documentary style photography is my favorite. Unposed, unplanned and raw emotion is so amazing to capture, which is why I love photographing Homecoming sessions. I only take a very limited number every year but I do them for free. I love giving families the gift of these sessions because they have been through so much. The strength they have to go through a deployment is unlike anything else. I got to know Alexis as we were waiting for the service members to arrive. She was anxious, excited, and so ready to finally see her husband after months of being separated. I'm so happy that I got to document these moments for them.
